Self Organizing Network Iphone lost internet connection

I got an email this am 12/13/19 that VZ downloaded an upgrade to my router.  I followed the directions to activate this Self Organizing Network and my Iphone 11 went from having medium network connectivity to weak.  

The directions were vague on what to do about it.  After rebooting the phone and router a couple times, I now have no internet connectivity.  Apps and internet work with cell data. I forgot the network and rejoined, did a soft reset, did a network reset.  The Wifi says it's connected.

The My FiOS app will load with cell data access but no longer can find the network.
