I saw the announcement today:
$2.99 Visual Voice Mail Service Will Be Discontinued on 782016 | Verizon Wireless
I see that they are cancelling the $2.99 Visual Voice Mail Service. But WHICH ONE!!!!!!!
Voice Mail Comparison | Verizon Wireless
There are two visual voicemail products that are priced $2.99 Visual Voice Mail (2.99) and Premium Visual Voice mail (2.99) the main difference is the voice mail platform and speech to text. I love my speech to text and gladly pay the $2.99 a month to have it.
Rereading the posting I see the list of affected phones. my slightly more than a year old Droid Turbos is on the list!
Please someone from Verizon Wireless Customer Support please clarify. I did a quick chat today and i don't think it got me the right answer. they said my account would be affected, i would have to go back to basic voice mail and that the speech to text was going away, but the site wasn't updated yet.... if that is the case. Is the IOS voicemail to text for iphone going away too? If so you should probably clean up your website quickly, as both products are still listed!:

if it really is the end of both plans. please update your notice so that it clearly says that both are going
if it is not and premium is staying , please update to let us know that premium is unaffected
It also possible that some older phones are not compatible with the Premium Visual Voicemail which is why that option wasn't listed in the announcement.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
We would like to help clarify the Visual Voice Mail retirement, Drjoeward. This is the list of phones that will be affected: http://vz.to/1U1emK6 The Droid Turbo is not showing on the list however. With any feature that is part of the device’s native operating system, this will not be affected such as the IOS. If you would like to further discuss this update, please feel free to contact us directly as we would be more than happy to help. http://vz.to/1g1mHjf
