Not much, but it can be a trick to install. I have 3 PCs, all 3 failed the update multiple times. I had to do this:
1. Go into "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and delete everything in that folder.
2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
Then go here: Windows 10
That's the link to the Upgrade Tool.
Works now, on 2 of 3.
The last PC is constantly searching for updates. Still figuring that one out.

So far the install process is still going smoothly on my PC. It's 83% complete as of now.
I feel like a kid waiting for a present.

It's better than 8.1 Metro, but not as good as Win7. Just my 2 cents. The search bar at the bottom next to the plain start button is rather large. It has this minimalist unflashy feel with the icons. Basically looks like an old windows phone.

It's done. It's ok. Nothing to right home about. I hope it all works out for the folks who are into the windows ecosystem.

And some jimmy-shake-jiggle-pushing, I finally tricked #3 into updating, AND found an 4th older Laptop to upgrade, but had to format and start from scratch with it to get it updated.

After messing around with Windows 10 for a little bit. It looks a whole lot like Windows 10 is for those folks who are into the whole Windows ecosystem.
Just like Apple's OS is for those folks who are into the whole Apple ecosystem.
As soon as i get the chance. I'm going back to Windows 7.

Let me do a quick search and see if I can find a way to get you a copy of the Windows 7 .iso file. Seems like installing 7 using the clean install method is your best route. Do you have your Windows 7 product key code written down or see it on your computer somewhere?

The iso will have it's own product code. I have never seen one work on more than the license it was programmed with. Plus, Genuine check will spot it and disable the system.

Windows 10 is Windows 7 with a flat UI.

I have a DVD for every single version of Windows 7 and I have used it to install & onto about 15 different computers using their own unique keycode that came with their computer and it has worked flawlessly every time. I would gladly give anybody a free copy if I had the way to but it can simply be downloaded from Microsoft's own website. They had taken it down for a long while but I guess they put it back up just for this very reason. They know many people will need it to return to Windows 7 from a corrupted install of 10.

I'm waiting on all you "bleeding edge" techie gurus to give Win10 a thorough shakedown before I take the plunge! I'm too skeered!

No issues so far for me. Not on the PCs that actually upgraded.

Bleeding edge? Yeah, i saw the quote marks. I still found it funny. Considering i'm not tech savvy.
I won't be shaking it down anytime soon. I use Chrome exclusively.
As far as the installation goes, it went smoothly for me. It took maybe 3 hours?

I did run into an error accessing Google sites like G+, Gmail, Google Homepage after the update, but it seems to be related to my AV checking HTTPS protocols. Edge browser is fine in itself I suppose. Won't replace Chrome anytime soon though. Not for me anyway.

If it doesn't have anything to do with your AV.
It could be because of this:
Google 'retires' G+ as a requirement, starting with YouTube (update)

That's a great article, thanks for sharing. I've always hated the way G+ likes to worm it's way into almost every aspect of our digital lives.

It was an AV thing...I just by-passed it till Avast catches up with WIN10. All Google is doing is stopping the auto-integration of Google accounts with everything. I still use G+ and prefer it over FaceHook. (bring back My_____.)
