5ghz wifi is still accessible when I disable radio for it.

I'm trying to figure out how to disable my 5ghz antenna because it does not get used, and would feel more at ease with it disabled. (Your nervous system will appreciate the break)   😉 

Any who, I logged onto 192.168.1.1 (myfiosgateway.com link does not work anymore for some reason) and went in and disabled the 5ghz antenna but it is still showing up as a usable wifi for all my devices and will still connect to them. 

Also side note when logging onto 192.168.1.1 it is says it is no longer recognized as a secure site and one of my computes flat out refuses to let me log onto it. Whereas in the past this never happened. Just thought it was odd...
