New cell in our area?

AT&T has historical had no coverage in our area(71933 zip code). To remedy this they are building two new towers within 5 miles north and south of my residence. Will Verizon be utilizing these towers to increase there failing cell coverage in our area? Or does Verizon have any future plans to address the "degradation" ( verizons words) of service in this area??
