Phone Issue

I just received a call that came up as Census Bureau on my caller I.D. but I let it go to voice-mail. The message they left said "Dear Verizon Wireless customer, your account will be suspended in the next few hours for security purposes". Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm pretty sure the Census Bureau doesn't own Verizon, but hey what do I know?

It does sound like a scam. There are a number of scammers posing as Verizon. We're always happy to check your account to see if a message came from us if you're ever in doubt.  *Melissa

Thanks for the reply Melissa. It was definitely a s c a m. I get quite a few call me daily and it does get quite irritating. I really only posted this to make others aware oppppppp[f this  in hopes it saves at least 1 person from losing their money. I hope you have a good evening!
