So for the past 6 months or so service in my area has gone downhill. To the point where I have to be standing in the middle of the street to make a phone call and still have to hope not to get disconnected. Called Verizon Customer Service yesterday and they sent a tech to check the area. Who reported back that the signal is poor in that area, even though towers are operating correctly. They want me to buy the $249 broadband network extender. Sorry, not going to do that, I am already paying $300 a month for service with a Corporate discount, and have been a customer for almost 10 years now. A neighbor that has Sprint, was given their extender because of the poor service.
Verizon won't give me the extender, and is standing firm on the $249 charge for the "accessory". Sorry, having to buy a "accessory" to make their service work isn't going to work.
Guess when my contract is up, I'll go with another provider who will work with me on a signal solution...
Fustrated with Verizon...
