Poor network under unlimited plan

Immediately upon switching to an unlimited data plan my cell coverage and network performance has degraded substantially. It’s highly frustrating to have been sold on the unlimited plan in a Verizon store and then experiencing such a drop on network performance. Have others experienced this? It worked fine precious to the change in plan so they are clearly manipulating performance.

There's 4 different plans. If you went with Start Unlimited, there is the problem.

I just switched to the Do More unlimited plan and have noticed a big drop in reception at home. I went to unlimited BECAUSE my internet service at home was horrid and my 1-2 bars of internet was better, now its not!

I am on start unlimited and don't experience that in my part of NY.  4g is fast and smooth, don't have a 5g phone.  Recently traveled 4hrs away to PA since before the pandemic and was working fine there too.  Going 8hrs away next weekend so we shall see how service is in that area as haven't been since before the pandemic there either.  I never reach my cap though to get slowed down.

yeah my wife has a different service, Verizon is overpriced with poor service. Im seriously thinking about switching away. For One Data Throttling should never happen. Service area's seem to be decreasing instead of Growing, the service coverage maps are TOTAL garbage. and the only company that Beats Verizon in charging Tons of extra charges and fees is Sprint, Both of them will nickel and dime you to death, Both are the Kings of False advertisement. They overcharge customers on Devices and the website is a huge dumpster fire the only think you need is a store and account managing where you the customer contols your account, they can't even get that right. anything added should be removable. If you want to remove a device the best thing you can do is discontinue your service and start over its rediculous.

Then find a carrier that offers truly unlimited with no throttling.  Tried that on t-mobile 5yrs ago with their truly unlimited prepay at $70 a month back then and had horrible issues.  Places where I had great signal with verizon when traveling I had no signal with t-mobile.  My games wouldn't work off wifi on their service.  No one could figure out why.  My guess was it had to do with prepay and no throttling.  Internet and email worked it was just games.  Reps in store said it should work but it wasn't and I bought the phone in a t-mobile store new.   Customer support was unwilling to figure it out so after a month went back  to verizon and could play my games in the car on long trips again.  Was certainly a mystery that t-mobile didn't care about solving for me at that price.  Don't buy my Verizon phones directly from them so I watch the sales at best buy.  App works flawless for me.  Had no trouble canceling free trial of didney plus recently.  Using a samsung note 10 plus.

Sorry to hear about the trouble, Bean750. We'll be happy to look into this with you today. The amount of signal in any given area is going to be the same for all devices in the area. However, performance can change due to any number of reasons. Do you know how much data you've currently used? Which plan did you change from?
