Stolen phone and fraudulent charges

I called Verizon Oct 9th to report a stolen phone and fraudulent charges. The total charges are very high (in excess of $1000). I talked to a "manager level person" and they said they would give me a response in 48 hours. Well it's now Oct 29th and still haven't heard anything and the fraudulent charges are still on my bill. What is my next and or best course of action at this point?
