trade-in scam?

I confirmed my eligibility for the special pixel 3 trade in offer $550 with a new iphone 12 purchase with unlimited plan. However, my trade in final appraisal is valued at $94.  

If knowing the offer won't apply, I would have returned the new purchase within the return period and not erasing my old pixel 3 phone. Now I've contact multiple online agent and they all refused to apply the promotion code. In addition to that, they claim that they can not locate the previous chat history.

To me this is a purely scam as verizon can not keep its word. Very disappointed.

ruixuanhou, we are here to help with the promotion! Was there any damage on the phone at all? Even the smallest crack or chip in the screen for example would require a whole screen replacement voiding the promotional value.
