Err. 0x11110004 on updating LG Stylo 2V

It also says error 402 when I pull up the update page under settings. I've tried to update multiple times, updating by PC (the VZW Utility app says the device authentication failed and keeps asking me to check the IMEI to make sure it's valid, which I have). I've even done a factory reset. Does anybody have any thoughts? I checked another topic on here that's archived but the solution offered didn't help.

We want to make sure that you have a working phone to use and can update your phone as needed. With regard to the error message are you having issues using the device at this time for calls, text, and data? -Jasper

Not at all. I can still make and receive calls and texts, surf the web, run apps. It's just the update that seems to be giving me a hard time.

Thank you so much for confirming. Have you tried using both wifi and cellular data for the update? ~Roger

@lexdaniels ,

When you check the software version of your phone, what does it show? This link shows how to access that: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-207533/ . I ask because the last software update that was available to your phone was sent out in September 2020, so it is quite likely that you are seeing that error code because there is no actual update available. -Russell

It says VS83520q for the software version.

To confirm, that is the current software installed on your device right now? *Hannah

Hello, lexdaniels. The error message code 0x11110004, means that your phone was rooted and since the core file configuration has been altered, the update file cannot relate to the rooted version and successfully install. You need to restore your phone to its original status. Click here for more details: https://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/product-help/CT30014940-20150200513254. *Cassie

That didn't work either although I don't recall rooting the phone at any point and I'm pretty sure that's impossible to do my accident...

lexdaniels,

We appreciate you working through this with us. You are correct. It is not something you can do by accident. Did you complete both steps on the link above? Is your phone backed up?

I did try the procedure in the link and it,recognizes my phone but said everything is up to date and I can't find the option to repair anywhere in the program. Only one of the programs actually worked though.

lexdaniels, thank you for what you have done. What software does your phone currently have?

Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Check for update You mentioned that only one of the programs worked. Which one worked?

LG Bridge at least recognised my phone after I got the program updated. The first one I tried was LG PC suit but when I opened it the message indicated the my phone wasn't compatible and that I needed to download LG Bridge.

I have already answered the question about my software version but here it is again: VS83520q.
