2nd G4 in less than 2 yrs

my 2nd G4 has stopped working just like my 1st one. I was checking messages when all of a sudden the screen just went blank, now I can't get it out of the start up screen before it shuts off, and the battery is not charging,this is  a replacement phone because the first one did the exact same thing, I'm not even close to my contract being up,so of course this is infuriating, what advice does anyone have on how to deal with this, I'm not buying a new phone because i refuse to renew the contract,due to many other issues with Verizon,but I feel if I get the replacement it will be the same problem just waiting to happen
