Battery issue?

My LGK20 is not much over a year old. In the last 24 hours, the phone feels warm on the screen and the battery charge doesn't last very long. Previously, a charge lasted about 24 hours. Now it's running down in just a few hours. Usage and everything else is unchanged. Can it need a new battery already? Do I take it in to Verizon to see what the problem is?

it could need a battery, they can only be charged x amount of times.

try charging with the phone off.

Typically, a phone suddenly getting warm and the battery not lasting long may just indicate an issue with the phone causing that to happen like a glitch or new app. Have you restarted your phone and tested it out afterwards? When this started was it after a system update or when anything new was installed on the phone?
