Blocked number coming through as text but...

I have blocked a number and the block is due to be renewed in March 2014. This morning, a text from the blocked number came through as a download. When I went to retrieve the download, I got a message from my phone stating that the download was expired and the text disappeared from my text log. I have a Galaxy S3. Please advise.

We apologize if there was a message received on your end from a number you had blocked, this is definitely odd.
