Email problems

Several email problems.  I have Gmail and MSN.

How do you get the server to STOP downloading all your past emails?

Every time I check my email, the server has downloaded email from last month.  I delete it, next time more old email.  This could go on for years, since I have about 5 years of emails on the account. 

Can you get the thing to only download NEW emails?

How do you send an email immediately?

When sending emails from phone, they don't go out immediately like on a BB.  It appears they only go out when the phone checks for email, and the most often you can get it to do that is every 5 minutes.  I thought new email downloaded immediately, like on a BB?

What up with this?  Certainly doesn't seem very business friendly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, same problems here.  I like the phone overall, but I do miss blackberry messenger and the way email works which is annoying.
