HTC advantage is heartless.  They replace screens if it breaks in a year.  My phone is 20 days past their date so they won't help me at all.  A guy who bought the HTC g1, nexus one, rezound, one m7, and 3 on m8's for firsts and that's on top of getting multiple friends to switch from Samsung or apple to HTC (at least 10) and now I'm left high and dry.

Ive gone from their biggest most vocal fan to a guy telling you to avoid HTC.  They used to have amazing customer service... Not anymore.

HTC probably doesn't know who buys what, only that devices were sold.  However, I understand the "loyalty" angle, but being past a warranty expiration date is still past the end date for coverage.  Used to be that companies were more lax, maybe they had a 1 month grace period.  But with products costing more and more people using the costly products, it wouldn't take long for the exceptions made to really add up in costs.

I gave them every serial number or devices I own and they said "wow you are

incredibly loyal" before I even told them what my issue was.

They also told me I'm 22 days past warranty. If a company can't make an

exception for 22 days for a loyal customer then they won't get my business

ever again.

I didn't want a free glass replacement I offered to pay $100 which is $50

more than their HTC advantage warranty coverage. Nope...they wanted $200

plus shipping and I'd be out of a phone for a month.

So this weekend I'll be buying a new phone off contract and it won't be an

HTC and since my family and extended family has me pick their phones for

them they are going to be losing out on at LEAST 9 phone sales from their

top end lines. I will also stop sing like their praises on forums.

We are talking 22 days here not 6 months.

Well, I doubt you'll be the only one jumping ship.  HTC isn't doing well anyway and the M9 is almost unheard of here.

That's the thing I love their phones regardless of popular opinion. They

are well built and reliable... But I'm also of the strong belief that if

you have a loyal customer you bend over backwards and help them out. Thats

how you keep a customer for life. People like me are why they went from

near bankrupt to back in the game and now...I'm leaving after years. I

mean when did the HTC g1 launch? I was there day 1 then again day 1 I

bought the nexus one full price off contract.
