Bought charging pad for phone from Verizon store, but can't find a Qi logo on phone. Did I just blow $40?

Thank you! Couldn't find info on original box or manual. Just checked my receipt and realized I paid $60 for this pad from Sony. I'm a 57 year-old dinosaur with my 1st smart phone bought last month>

Yes! Absolutely! Verizon stores carry the wireless charger you need. They should let you try one in the store. They run about $40 bucks.
