G2 gets Lollipop today...What about the G3...Does Verizon know the G3 is the newer model?? Newer models go up in number not down.
Sorry. Yours is coming. Ours was 5.0.2, so yours should be the same I'd think. The G2 was first to come out so it should be the first updated.
I have never seen the older model get updates first...what would ever be the reason to upgrade? Under that logic shouldn't the S4 have gotten theirs prior the S5, the M7 before the M8, etc...
Look, people update and upgrade phones for the hardware in them too, and the capabilities as well, not just the OS.
Hardware is only as good as it's slowest part...in this case the software running it.
That's because if its not a "flagship" phone or: Samsung Galaxy S Series , Motorola Verizon does not give two (removed) about supporting a device like the G3. When companies like At&t , Sprint and shortly T-Mobile beat you in putting out timely updates before a device reaches EOL Status which is typically 18 months you have a problem. When people purchase a phone they expect timely support and updates to their devices not an attitude which is what Verizon gives their customers. I have had several Verizon phones one of which was the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that phone had several updates that Verizon never pushed that included several critical updates. Its the same old thing and Verizon doesn't give two (removed) because they have your money.

You might be right. This G2 with stock 5.0.2 might just be faster than a G3 on stock 4.x.x. despite the hardware difference.
The older model never gets the update first. That's not how it works buddy. Something must be wrong with the G3 hardware and 5.0 or they are updating the G3 to 5.1.
Yeah, must be broke.
How about the fact that Verizon has nothing to do with it? Who makes the phone? LG, they make their software and software updates. If you have a problem with the way they do it then call them and complain or buy something else when the time comes.
