So, out of the blue my LG G3 decides to give me a white screen with the "Emergency Call" button on the bottom when I wake it up. It won't let me put in my knock code while it's awake or while the screen is black. I can open the camera shortcut and it'll take me to the camera but that's it. Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix? I've tried cycling power, removing battery, etc. I've done everything except a hard reset.

PortableHayzuse,
Having a working phone is definitely important so I completely understand your concern. Were you using the phone when the screen went white? Has there been any damage to the phone? If the soft reset and removing the battery has not cleared the white screen and you are unable to access the phone, the next step would be a hard reset http://vz.to/1J23jgp.

The phone was just sitting in my pocket, I pulled it out, then saw that. If i plug it up to charge, it'll bring up my home screen for half a second and then go back to the blank white screen. Is there a way to backup all my pictures and videos before doing a hard factory reset?

PortableHayzuse,
I appreciate the additional details. Has there been any physical or liquid damage to the phone?
Since you are unable to go through the phone settings because the screen is completely white there isn't a way to backup the phone. Unless you backed up the phone before this all happened. I apologize for all the inconvenience this may cause.

Have you been able to fix this?? My G3 started doing the exact same thing yesterday. I can't do anything except use the emergency call function. But if I go to emergency call, I can see my status bar, and everything seems to be working fine. I just can't get past that white screen to access any of it.

Nope. I tried and looked everywhere and nothing. I had no choice but to hard reset my phone. It really pissed me off. Sorry...
If you come up with a solution, please do post on here and tell us how you fixed it. I think it's ridiculous that a phone could even do that.

With our phones being lifelines to us, it's crucial for them to work properly, LG_Sux. Let's work on getting yours back up and running. When did the white screen start coming up? Had anything on the device changed around the time it started (software update, new app, etc)?

No I didn't install any new apps or software updates. I tried everything I could think of, and no luck. I went to a verizon store, and they had no clue. So I bit the bullet and did a factory reset.

Did the factory reset fix the problem?
