Help! Worked at 2 p.m. today.  6 p.m. overheated and won't turn back on, even when cooled down and plugged in outlet. Verizon Droid XT1030.

We want to cool this device down and get you back in business. Complete the following: Press & hold the power key and Volume down key together for 40 seconds. This will power the phone back on.

This MAY turn the phone on. Dependent upon if the phone is still in working order.

Please update us as to whether these steps worked for you.
