Can't believe there was no specific area to post this as the only Motorola topics were NOT the G Play. But I just read on reddit that there is only one update for this phone so they will not be rolling out Android 11 on it. Is this true? I am still paying for this phone and I get no updates? Please advise.

Found this info from last Oct.
The Motorola Moto G Play ships with Android 10 on board and has not received its Android 11 update yet. Motorola did promise one major version update and two years of security updates that would take the Moto G Play through until 2023.

The link given provides a "patch" to the current Android OS. It does not upgrade to 11, which was my original question: will this phone be upgraded to the latest Android version or not?

After looking further into the update, I am seeing that this is an update for Android 11. Once you have installed the update, please navigate your device to Settings > About Phone to confirm that your device is running, Android 11.
