That update will come from Motorola not Verizon Wireless especially since Verizon Wireless never sold that phone model directly.

It looks like the big circle is forming. Motorola says the update will be there pending partner support. VZW ???

Partners include the Bluetooth manufacturer, Qualcomm for the cellular radio, wifi certification, FCC and the other partners.
