Moto Z Poor 4G

I have had the Moto Z since Thursday and it only gets 3G in my office building.  In this same space, the original Droid Turbo had mostly full bars with some interior spaces having only one bar.  Changing the network settings from Global to LTE/CDMA limits the amount of time the phone switches to 3G, but still has very low signal strength and network performance.

Why would this be happening?  I would expect a newer phone to have better reception/antennas.

After further investigation, changing the network settings has not helped.  Still operating in 3G much of the time.  Very frustrating.

A newer phone doesn't necessarily equate better reception. Lenovo is making Motorola phones now, so design/quality control may not be as good as when your Turbo was manufactured.

I would take the phone back to the Verizon store for a replacement & see if that helps before giving up.

Replacement seems to be the only option.  I have tried everything from level 1 and 2 Verizon support.  I was originally told it was a software issue that would be resolved by a factory reset.  It was not.  After spending 4 hours getting the phone set up again, I am still stuck in 3G at the office.

I just purchased the droid moto z and I have no signal in my home at all....it is sad when you pay almost $700 for a phone and have to go outside to make a call or use it. Going back to verizon tomorrow....Does anyone know of a phone with a better in home signal?
