Motorola G Power cannot receive texts

I recently just bought a Motorola G Power unlocked and put my existing verizon sim card into the phone and my aunt did everything on her end by allowing the sim transfer and etc...now, everything works except receiving texts...please help.  I went into the messaging settings, I factory reset, i turned off and on. I did airplane mode. Everything I can't figure it out.

Texting is the way many people keep track of things, Fearz007. When it is not working, that can be very stressful. You took some great steps to troubleshoot. Were texts working on your previous device? Can you share more detail about what it means when you say your aunt did everything to allow a SIM transfer?
