No visual voicemail after swapping devices?

I'm on a prepaid unlimited plan, which I've been on for years. I recently changed devices -- from a Moto E to a Moto G Power (2021).

Only problem I have is the basic visual voicemail I got used to the past several years is not a feature on this phone.

I called customer support several times and have been told this is no longer a feature. I was recommended to use YouMail, an app I used before.

I used YouMail premium before, but I'm not interested in paying for it again. Especially when the original visual voicemail worked perfect for me on my old device.

Can someone help me figure out how to get visual voicemail working again on the G Power?

Your loyalty matters to us, and we want you to have the right expectations. Visual Voicemail is not supported on Prepaid, with the exception for iPhones that have Apple Visual Voicemail integrated into the device. Basic Voicemail is what you want to set up. Interesting how you had it on prepaid before yet it's not available to prepaid customers with android phones, No 4 here.  Was the icon always there on the old phone from day 1?

On the old device (Moto E) it's still there and was always there since activating that device. It's built right into the calling app. And, as far as I recall, was on previous Android devices before that.

If repairing the phone made sense (screen works but came unglued, frame slightly bent), I'd do it. Finding YouMail clunky and requires extra steps. And with pro subscription, it would still be that way.

It is what it is...

I will compare visual voicemail option of other carriers.

It's hard to believe I'm the only customer missing the feature.

Visual voicemail has never been available for prepaid so it's a mystery how you would have had it.  I think uocked phones on post paid don't have this feature either.   You need a post paid account for this feature with a vetizon branded phone.  My visual voicemail mail is an icon on the screen I click so I don't access it from the calling screen but I have a verizon branded phone on post paid.
