Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Lock Screen

Before getting the marshmallow update, I was able to see the weather on the lock screen of my Tab S2.  Since the update I cannot not get the weather to show up and also cannot find any setting to make the weather display.  I have done a factory reset twice and that did not fix it.  Was the setting to display the weather on the lock screen removed during the marshmallow update?

It was likely a widget - long press on an empty spot on the screen, then tap widgets at the bottom, and scroll till you find a weather app widget.  It may have been a Samsung preinstalled, or (as in my case) a weather app (Weather Bug)  widget.

The widget still works.  I was talking about the lock screen.  Before Marshmallow, it would display the temperature and current conditions on the Lock Screen below the Time and Date.  Now it only shows the Time and Date and the two icons in the bottom corners.

It is possible Samsung removed the lockscreen widgets in favor of the lockscreen layout as designed by Google.

Ann, I might be inclined to believe that except that my Note 4, which also was upgraded to Marshmallow, still has weather information showing on the Lock Screen.  I know that it is two different devices, but to have one devise with the feature and the other without seems odd to me.  I have already talked to Samsung and Verizon to let them know about this goof in programming.  I hope they add the weather information to the Galaxy Tab S2 and not take it off the Note 4.

Samsung might have customized the note 4 more and used a more Google design language on the tablet. I know what you have described for the lock screen, I have on multiple devices not made by Samsung but are running Android Marshmallow or Lollipop and have the same lock screen look.
