i dropped it in a cup of soda, so i put it in rice for a few days, now when i plug it in it vibrates and if i push the power button after that it vibrates again, then nothing. screen didn't come on at all. ive seen tutorials on you tube about cleaning with alcohol, 99%, does this work? is there a warranty through Verizon or Samsung? and start do the indicators mean? are there different colors for different degrees of damage? thanks

Any warranty unfortunately ended the moment in came in contact with the soda.

Soda is especially nasty - gets sticky and conducts electricity for shorts very well. The phone will likely never work again. At this point, there is little harm in putting the phone in pure grain alcohol, but the damage is done.

Oh no redrabbit! This certainly is a huge cause of concern. As Weth mentioned, any type of physical or liquid damage does void any type of warranty with the phone. Do you have insurance added on the line?
