Sim card not being found, hence towers not being found

I recently purchased a Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 4G android. It had a problem finding the sim card, so returned it and got a 2nd Duraforce, it has same problem. When I leave one tower area and enter into another one, my signal drops and I have to turn on airplane mode and then turn it off in order for sim card to be read. If that doesn't work I have to restart phone and then go to Airplane mode turn it on then turn it off. Also, sitting in one location, not moving phone, my signal goes from good to poor and sometimes bounces into Roaming mode

I have been to local verizon store and they say this is the way it is.

What is going on & why do I have to spend half of my day performing things manually that every other phone I have ever owned did it automatically? Customer service said if I updated to the 5G plans, the problem would be resolved.....that was garbage!!!!! Problem still exists.

Been many reports on 5g being less than great

As to your issue that doesn't seem like it should be happening only thing I can think of which may or not work is to go in settings and do a network reset

Network Reset does not make a difference. Most of time Network Reset can not find Verizon....goes to Network generic setting.

Thank you for trying the network settings reset for your phone, terylherndon. That is normally a good step to try with service trouble. To help look into the issue, please send us a Private Message.
