I'm looking into purchasing the LG G4, previously owned a Galaxy Note 4 which had voice and data, I could talk and search the web at the same time. This feature is a deal breaker for me, because I'm a carrier and I need to be able to talk and map and find address. Unfortunately my Note 4 was stolen.

I love my G4 but I can't talk and surf at the same time. I could on my Samsung S5. It's very annoying because if I get an important call when not on Wi-Fi and need to look something up I have to hang up, turn on the 4G then call the person back. I thought because my S5 did this they all did. Mary

acraffylady2 - Being able to use your data & voice is crucial. I have taken a look at the LG G4 and see that the voice & data capaboilty is available for your device. Please go to Settings>Advance Calling is this feature set up? Please set it up and try using your data while on a call. If you run into any issues, let us know. We are here for you. Check out the FAQs for Advance Calling. http://vz.to/20B6TWM

The Advanced Calling feature when enabled will only allow voice and data simultaneously in areas with 4G LTE network capabilities. If you move from 4G LTE to 3G EDVO or 1xRTT, the call will drop. The phones with Advanced Calling capabilities have only one radio for voice and data connections. If you need voice and data simultaneously on the older networks, then you should look for a phone with multiple radios which is what the older 4G LTE smartphones had.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
