So who is happy with the lollipop upgrade? I have not done it myself, all the negative post have kept me from doing it!

I appreciate you providing your steps of what you do....however, we should NOT have to do this every time an update comes out.  Also, if this was the "normal" process, then Verizon and/or LG should indicate that in the release notes for the update.  I am happy that some are not having issues, but a lot of people are having issues, like myself and I have done ALL the workarounds or "solutions" with no success.  As I have stated many times before all of these issues were known issues well before this update was released.  Meaning when Google released these updates the Nexus devices had the same exact issues and worse.  Thus, why would a company release the update if the update was known to have issues....because it seems manufacturers are lazy and carriers (especially Verizon) are extremely lazy.  I was well aware of these problems before the update...and heck the LG G2 was released before the G3 and well they are having issues as well....so DUH!!!!  Verizon and LG should be ashamed for releasing this update and they should get out of the smartphone business if they are not going to do more for their customers when mistakes like this are made.

I wish there was a sticky post for the proper way to do things, but you are right:  Customers shouldn't HAVE to perform these steps and carriers/manufacturers SHOULD refer to these steps.  However, if a customer sees these steps will they update knowing how much everyone wants to avoid FDRs?

The process is meant to be seamless, though it rarely is.

And yet we STILL get people who keep posting such things as "why are we waiting so long for the update, why doesn't Verizon release it already??????" When Verizon sends the update back to the manufacturer to fix problems in the update, Verizon gets blamed for holding things up. When the update is released with problems Verizon is blamed for releasing a flawed update. Possibly Verizon is tired of listening to all of the whiners and gives them what they want, an update they may or may not have problems with.

A factory reset of my phone fixed any problems I have had with the update, I am happy to wait for Verizon to release the update and try my best to ignore all of the whiners.Smiley Happy

I am happy with the Lollipop upgrade. I came to the forums here first and thoroughly researched what the more experienced users had to say about proper procedure for doing upgrade/update install. This LG G2 is my first smart phone. After following the advice of people like Snn5 my update experience has been a pleasant one. (thank you Snn5) In my opinion, you will always find some people that complain about their experience. Seems as though the whiners are always more vocal.
