Are you able to power up the phone in safe mode to determine if the phone will power on past the Verizon screen. For the Samsung Galaxy J3 V 4G LTE:

To get the phone to Safe Mode to see if it is a 3rd Party Application -

1. Turn the device off

2. Press and hold the power button until the Samsung Galaxy J3 Logo appears and then release

3. With that logo on the screen press the Volume Down Button

4. Continue to hold that button until the Safe Mode appears in the lower left of the screen and then release.

If you are unable to power the device off:

1. Press and hold the power button and the volume down button until the device force shuts down.
