Why can't I download the new update?

The Verizon web site (LG G3 Software Update | Verizon Wireless) announces the update to Android 5.1.1 is available for the LG G3 phone.  But, when I go to update from my phone, the message is that my phone, with Android 5.0.1, is up to date.  How else is the update available?

New software updates are exciting. The updates usually get pushed out to devices in waves. It may take a little bit of time to get to all devices.
