WiFi Connectivity LG V10

First, I don't understand why there is not a V10 space on the community.

Now on to the real issue.

Am I the only one having problems staying connected to WiFi? I have no issues at all when I am home. None. Flawless.

When I am at work my device will not stay connected. I have tried everything including having the network guy here AND FDR. Nothing seems to help. I mean nothing. I reset my phone and had no apps on it and it still disconnected and reconnected constantly.

I am at a complete loss.

I AGREE 100 percent with that. i owned a lg g3, and lotsa times i could never get support. your v10 in my eyes is better than the g5. i had same issue myself with wifi. i couldn't even send email outside. inside it's flawless. support told me to reset network in settings. i say its more than that. its a little better, and they also said i was in a mall why weak wifi. i REJECTED THAT. I wish you well

My WiFi at home is flawless. Everywhere except at work. I reset the network settings and it didn't help.

I think it is the access point that is installed. We turned of the 5gHz signal and still no fix.

IM almost sure its a bottleneck in the whole network. i get 190 mbps at home, 30 outside on mobile data. if using pub wifi i get 10 mbps

I am not sure what the issue is here. It's a strong signal and the speeds are good. Staying connected is the issue. I am connected to the Xfinity Hotspot with no problems. I honestly think it is the access point. They all suck here.

Do you have any idea how old the routers/access points are at work? I discovered with my old router, The signal broadcast ability degrades over time especially as more noise from other routers are added to the area. I was having constant disconnects on the newer devices, but the older devices connect flawlessly. After I replaced it, the connection reliability improved tenfold.

They aren't more than a year old as they were installed shortly after I started this job. The one that I am near the most is approximately 3 weeks old.

Okay. They are not old. That helps narrow down the possibilities. Since you can connect, I would rule out a MAC Address filtering as a culprit, but not until the IT dept verifies they don't use it for the access points. Some phones don't like to connect to IPv6 addresses. Could the routers be using IPv6 or IPv4 for the phones and other devices? Is it 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz for the SSID?

Oops I forgot you mentioned turning off the 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Ignore my question about it.

I wonder if it is this. I hope he won't come in on Monday as I won't be there. If I see him I will ask him. However, I didn't have a problem staying connected with my G3 on Lollipop.
