When call one specific number I now get the following message
welcome to verizon wireless
your call cannot be completed as dialed
please check the number and dial again
announcement for switch 12-1
That number can call me just fine.
I've called this number for years from this phone
Paul106 It's important you are able to call any number you want. Do you know if this number has had any code changes? If you manually dial the number, can you reach them?
It was just this number using my pre-paid plan, my wife on the same pre-paid plan and same phone model had the same issue. Manually dialed the number, phone restart, pulled the battery, pulled the SIM, all with no change. That number was callable using any other cell phone or land line. I call verizon support and eventually got a ticket submitted. I bet, and the 2nd tier support person I talked too though it might actually be an issue with a switch in the network. They seem to have fixed the issue because I can now call that # without issue.
