Adding Minutes While Out of the Country

Hi - I bought a Verizon pre-paid phone from Wal-Mart last month for my boyfriend to use while he was traveling in the US before departing back to England. It's been 30 days since we activated it. I would like to add more money to the account today because he is flying back next Wednesday and I want him to be able to use it as soon as he lands.

I can't add it online b/c we didn't create an account while he was here for it. And now we can't get the verification text it sends you b/c of course there is no Verizon signal in England!! But if I were to call and add the money to the plan to keep it active, will it credit it today or would it not activate until he picks up a signal next Wednesday upon entering the country?

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

We can take a payment over the phoen with a debit or credit card, but if your credit card info is international you will have to wait to make payment until you are back in the country and can get a refill card

No, I am actually in the country. And he's in England right now. He will be flying back on the 30th. I just wanted to make sure that if I added money today it would keep it active even though he can't pick up a signal at all right now.

First you will need the Account Number which was the last four digits of the cell number, if you changed it or he changed it you will need to get that number. Then using a landline call 1-888-294-6804  you will hear a recorded message,  Press 1 for English, then it will ask you for your 10 digit cell number the operator will say Thank You, Then Select 1 if you plan on using a Verzion Prepaid Card or 2 if you plan on using a charge card,  after that it will either say accepted, or it will as the amount you want to put on the card (if you use a charge card it will ask for the account ) It will be excepted right then and should show up on your friends phone when he gets into an area with a signal.  If you wait a day or two you can call the Toll Free number above and follow the instruction on which numbers to push and it will tell you what your present balance is that way you will be able to double check to make sure it went through. You can buy the pre paid cards in most drug stores or super markets. Keep the card till you hear that the balance has been added.
