I would like to by the Basic $0.00 per day $.25 per minute, and then add the $20 per month unlimited Messaging Bundle, but at checkout there is no option to do this. How is it done then?
Also, is there a minimum number of minutes I need to buy/use each month to keep the phone active?
Thanks.

You have to call customer service to order the text plan, 1-888-294-6804 they will automatically take the amount out of you balance each month (30 days from the time your text messaging began) unless you say you only want it month to month. The cost of having the prepaid account is $30.00 is good for 3 months or until you run out of money. or $15.00 for 30 days.
Also there is a $15.00 text package its unlimited verizon to verizon and 250 texts to non verizon people. Remember that you pay to send and then pay to receive. so if you send a message and receive a message back it would equal 125 messages.
Thanks for the information.
To recap then....
Lets say I purchase the Basic Talk plan at ZERO dollars per month, (if i used NO talk minutes) and purchased the $20 per month unlimited Text plan, that would give me a phone with unlimited texting, that would forever be active even if I NEVER used it for calling. Is that correct? Im not sure where the previous response comes into this equation...
" The cost of having the prepaid account is $30.00 is good for 3 months "
I thought it would be 25 cents a minute if i choose to make a call. Can someone explain why I would need to pay $30 for 3 months? besides the $20 unlimited texting?

When I was on prepaid you had to add minutes every so often to keep it active. If you look under prepaid at the bottom you will see the experation table like this. If you spend $15-$29.99 that is good for 30 days so before it runs out you need to do either $30 again for 30 days or can do one of the other amounts if you want it for longer but you have to keep adding minutes to keep the phone active. Mary
$15-$29.99 expires in 30 days
$30-$74.99 expires in 90 days
$75-$99.99 expires in 180 days
$100 or more expires in one year
Mary is right about the rates, but since you can't buy a card for $29.99 you would have to buy a $30.00 card and it would be good for 90 days, even if you never use the phone either for texting or calling you would still have to renew (buy) another refill card in order to keep the phone activated. Are you just interested in just texting and never plan on using the phone? Either way it will cost you $60.00 for three months for texting, $20.00 x 3 for unlimited texting. Just before the 3rd month just remember to renew before that last $20.00 is deleted from your account for texting or you account will be 0.

Perfect. I understand it now, Thanks for all the advice!
