Droid Bionic 4G LTE on prepaid

I got a question related to the prepaid $60/$70 per month plans. If I have a Bionic 4G will it activate on the prepaid plans and only work at 3G speeds or will it not activate at all because it's a 4G phone. If I leave the 4G sim out of the phone will it work as a 3G phone and just tell me every time I turn it on no sim is present?  Any help is appreciated.

It will not activate without a SIM card. It can't be activated on the prepaid plans because it isn't a 3G only smartphone. Topics about modifying your phone aren't allowed on the forum because of the Terms of Service here.

Buyer beware!  Verizon Wireless is a racket.  They tell you your bill will be x amount and then they raise the rate after a few months.
