I have been trying to activate my prepaid wireless from verizon which I purchased earlier today, all afternoon with no success. I used the cell phone itself utilizing the send button - but I cannot get past pushing #1 or 2 for a service plan. I do not want a plan I just want to buy my minutes when needed. I will now try to call the 800 number to see if I am able to speak unto a human being and not a recording.
Any recommendations?

With prepaid, you have to select a plan just as with postpaid service. Verizon offers a variety of pricing structures for their prepaid. Some of the plans are "daily" which means that you pay a certain fee any day you make or recieve a call. The amount of the fee determines how much your per minute and per text rates are. There are also monthly plans that are similar to the postpaid plans.
