I'm on the $70 monthly plan using the Motorola G. Unlimted talk/txt/4GB data. I noticed on my plan details it says Unlimited Text and Multimedia Messaging. But below it, it also says Data charges apply for sending and receiving Picture/Multimedia Messages. I was wondering, does the data used in my included MMS count against my monthly data plan allowance? I thought it was included as a text bundle and not count against my data usages.
I'm not seeing where it says that. Could you provide a link to where it says that. Texting is unlimited as far as I know.
It's listed under the My plan details on the My Verizon App. I posted a screen shot.
Yes. That means that you are not charged a "per message" charge for each MMS (or SMS) sent. However, the data used to send the MMS (picture/mulitmedia) messages will count toward your data limit.
Well that's crazy. I'd rather it count as a per message count than against
my data allowance. Especially since it says unlimited text and multimedia
together. In that case, unlimited yeah unless you reach your data limit.
Picture messages really should not use very much data as they are typically compressed.
MMS maxes out at 1.2 MB. So it would take 853 of those to equal 1 GB.
