New to Verizon and 50 monthly prepay plan

Okay, I understand when the next payment for prepay is the 16th of Dec. BUT, I don't understand when on "My Verizon" it says next payment due 2/16/12?  I have a balance in my account to cover next months prepay plan.  Also, will they take it out automatically from my account balance?   I've read and just don't understand the 2/16/12 expiration?   Thanks in advance.

As I understand it with prepay when you purchase funds for your account, those funds expire after a certain time period, unless you add more funds to your balance. Your expiration date is then pushed back a certain amount of time depending on the amount of funds you have deposited. The more money you deposit into your account, the more time you have before it expires. Any money still in your account after the expiration date would be forfeited.

Edit:

  • $15-$29.99 expires in 30 days
  • $75-$99.99 expires in 180 days
  • $30-$74.99 expires in 90 days
  • $100 or more expires in ONE YEAR!

But, if one is on the 50 a month Ulimited prepaid, why does one have to add other funds?   Thanks again.  Oh, I am on Auto pay for the plan.

Because additional funds will be needed to renew for the following month. Doesn't matter that you are on auto pay. You added $50 to your account to cover your monthly bill which would put your expiration date 90 days in the future which seems to coincide with the date you have given.

Here's what happened, you were signed up for the Daily Prepaid Plan and not the $50.00 monthly plan. Call customer service and the them you wanted to be signed up for the $50.00 Montly Plan 1-888-294-6804. Did you sing up on your own or did customer service set you up?
