I'm going frugal...I plan to replace my landline home phone with one of the prepaid daily access plans. I go days without using the landline phone at home, but, according to caller ID, I might get 1-2 calls, probably from spammers, each day. I don't have voice mail. Also, I don't answer my home phone if I don't recognize the number. With the daily access plans, either $0.99 or $1.99, if I receive a call but don't answer, will I be charged for daily access? I don't care about messages, so can I not setup the voice mail and avoid the daily access charge? How about when the phone is turned off? Most of my phone usage is on weekends. What's realistic? I really am a cell dodo.
Thanks!

If you do not answer the call and do not answer voice mail left on the message you WILL NOT be charged a fee. You are only charged when you make a call or answer a call.
