I set up what time I want my son to be able to start using the phone and then when he can't use it (to make sure he sleeps). Is there a way to give him a "time allowance" ... like 2 hours on the weekdays and three hours on the weekend that he can use the phone otherwise it will only let him communicate with trusted contacts.

Family Base is one of my favorite apps for my own teenagers, rudimyers11. It definitely comes in handy.
With the restrictions, you are able to set certain times to start and stop the phone usage. However, there isn't a way to set time limitations, such as only 2-hours a week.
What I do, (when my kids are in trouble), I restrict their phone from 12:01AM-11:59PM, that's the full day. And then they can only call or text Trusted Contacts during this time. Their phones, Tablets, and Chromebooks have to be in my room by 8:30PM. I know this doesn't work for all families, but it has worked well for us so far.
I hope this helps.

Thank you but I what I want to do is set an allowance so they learn to budget their time and choose other activities (other than the phone). I want them to self-monitor so the time allowance would start restrictive and then loosen up.
Thank you for the feedback rudimyers11. At this time, that is not an option with Family Base. We will make sure that we submit the information to management to see if we can get that added as a feature.
