I have the Verizon smart family companion app. It works perfectly for my son's phone which was added to the app two years ago. However I recently bought my daughter's phones and added them to the companion app. Everything on the app is working except for blocking phone calls and text messages. With my son's phone the smart family app blocks phone calls and texts from everyone not in the trusted contacts list. My daughter's phones aren't blocking anything. Their phone numbers were clearly a recycled phone number because they are getting bombarded by calls and texts all day long. I keep blocking these phone numbers but they should not be getting them since they are on the companion smart family app. Is there a fix for this? We all have Samsung phones they have Samsung s9s and I have a note 9. I called Verizon and so far they were unable to help but are calling me back on Thursday. The only reason I got the companion app was two blocks calls and texts and it's very frustrating that this isn't working.
