I have a Galaxy S8+ which fell into the toilet this afternoon. I retrieved it within seconds and dried it off. All was fine until I left it alone for awhile on my table... now it won't work. It was off when I went to use it and I cannot get it to turn on again. What exactly does 'water resistant' mean?

Regarding your question, please be advised that water-resistant means your device will still work after becoming wet by rain for less than half an hour, or when you accidentally spilled your coffee and thus your phone becomes wet for some minutes. It doesn't mean they are waterproof devices. A Samsung S8+ is not advised for beach or pool use. Water or dust damage is not covered by warranty. >Sophie
