Since the upgrade, my screen splits in half. What ever I am doing is on the left half, another thing I was doing earlier or just colored spots on the right half. I used to be able to power off and it would go away. Now it does not.

What you're describing sounds like there may be a problem with the phone itself. You should probably contact Samsung or VZW to see what they can do for you.
have you selected multi-screen??
The multi-window option is top and bottom, not left and right that Stephren describes.

Stephren isn't having trouble with the multi-window function. His screen splits vertically and apparently without any prompting.
