Can't View Files on my Phone

In the VZMessages folder in my internal storage I have folders labeled msg-######-1-parts and in these folders are various files with lengthy numeric names and no extension. When I try to open them I am told there isn't an application on my phone capable of reading them. Is there any way to view these files?
