Why do you hate your own customers so much?
It's a fair question Verizon, one I think that needs to be addressed head on.
We loved you, we really did. We enjoyed the great coverage, and having access to all of the new phones. But that was then, and this, unfortunately, is now.
Have you read these forums lately? Or at all? Your supporters have fallen fairly quiet - even they have started to run out of things to mention in a positive light.
Right now, you're dead last in updates for our Note 4, which, until not that long ago, was a big shiny flagship phone. Top of the line. AT&T, Sprint, and even TMobile, have all beat you to the punch. That's just sad We're stuck on 5.0.1, which has is just an enormous steaming pile of bugs and issues. The depressing part is that we have to live with it, or pay extra money for a new phone or network, just to get something that works as intended. I don't know about you, but that doesn't seem like Verizon likes it's customers, just thinks of us
We aren't asking because we think updates are just 'fun and exciting' - we actually want updates because our hard-earned money should go to something that works correctly - that really shouldn't be asking too much, yet somehow it is.
And it's not just us either - looking around some of the other forums for other phones, they all desperately need new software, yet it falls on deaf ears. There are only so many 'factory resets' one can do before it's obvious it's beyond the means of most of us to fix issues with our phones. Do you know how many times I've been asked if I've done a reset? Or booted into safe mode? or made sure I 'don't have any 3rd party apps running'? I've lost count. 5.1.1 has been out for many months - myself, and so many people, have talked pointlessly to both support from Verizon and Samsung. You know what? It's all been done. We need new software.
Have you seen the people trying to contact your support on other mediums? Personally I've tried getting a hold of Verizon on twitter dozens of times. Do you know how many times they have even acknowledged me? Zero. All of your competition responded to me within minutes. You? It's been months, and have yet to get a single response back. Nothing like neglect to feel like a valued customer, right?
I know that those of you VZW employees around here have canned responses, and it's not your fault. Nobody here is really mad at you. But don't you think it's time you found someone a little higher up, to tell someone even *higher* up, that it's time to stop screwing around with pre-loaded football apps and bloat from Verizon, and actually help it's customers out? I mean, don't you want to keep those people? Strangely, it doesn't look like it. The update isn't with Samsung anymore, so stop trying to say that. Other than that, there isn't really much of a reason why you would be so incredibly far behind smaller carriers. There just really isn't.
Google Fi is stealing a lot of your people. It's just a fact. Timely updates, money back for data you don't use, and on top of that MUCH cheaper. I myself have an invite, and plan to use it - my only hold up is spending hundreds of extra dollars around the holidays to do something just to get a working phone, but I'm being forced to do that soon. To think a company is pushing people to the point where they need to go out of their way, spending hundreds of dollars more, just for something that works.
I would change your ways Verizon. I know you won't, but I feel like I should say something, with all of the years I've been with you.
So again I ask, why do you hate your own customers so much? If the person is reading this can't help the situation, then tell someone else who can, and if THEY can't, then have than person do so, etc. You could save so many customers if all you did was focus on getting something out that should have been a priority.
I've had 5.1.1 on my Note 4 for weeks. You might want to call and put in a ticket to see why you haven't yet.
How is that possible? Verizon has not released 5.1.1 for the Galaxy Note 4 yet.
That's just not even a possibility - you're either lying, or have your Note 4 on another network.
Verizon is the only carrier yet to release the update.
Hence, you know, every post on this forum?
I read it wrong, I have 5.0.1
