Galaxy S10 plus not recieving text from iPhone users

I have a new S10 plus with a new number. I can send a text message to my friends who are iPhone users but whenever they send me a text I dont recieve them but it says their messages have been delivered on their iPhone. Is there a fix to this?

We understand your concern to get all your text messages. Let's figure out what is going on. Did you have an iPhone previous to this device? You may need to unregister your number from iMessage to make sure you get text messages not iMessages sent to your number. Are you having any other issues receiving any other service? What message application are you using?

I had this happen also.  What I found out is when they recycle #s, if that # was used with iphone, you have to de-register it with Apple.

I have this issue and I have (a) never had an iPhone; (b) I have had my cell phone number for over 20 years, going on 25. I use Verizon Message+ and receive some text messages from iphone users, but not others, including my boyfriend. Please assist!
