Wife's Galaxy J7 is doing the same thing but hers stopped working on its own.
Mine was still working fine, but I un-paired it to try mine on my wifes phone but it didn't see it. Tried to pair it back to my phone again but now mine wouldn't work either.
Am a halfway decent computer tech but have been unable to resolve this issue with my smartphones. When I initially set them up, piece of cake. But resetting them to work back with their initial phones has become a real problem. Neither phone now sees their respective headset, bluetooth is on and both phones still see all the other devices on my network.
Think this is probably a reasonably easy fix, but I've been unable to get anywhere with it.
I know how important it is to have a hands free device. Have you tried to reset the phone? What is the make and model of the headset? Is the software on both phones up to date?
