How can we confirm Note 7 exchange?

I originally bought my Note7 online at Verizon.com. 

Last week, i replaced my Note7 with a S7 at Costco Verizon Kiosk because they were running a good deal on the S7.  They said they could only take the Note7 if it was purchased at Costco. And suggested I take my Note7 to Verizon. 

So tonight I went to a Verizon Store and they told me that they couldn't take it. But a special box will be sent out me.  I asked how i can confirm if the Recall process will trigger the refund.  He said you should have gotten a text with instructions. I checked...no text. 

He said he couldnt check and they were not taking the phones.  Which is confusing because i saw another Verizon Store take a customers Note7 on Sunday.  He said the refund process is automatic. (Not trusting this guy...and felt he was brushing.me.off)

Bottomline...how can i check to see if my purchase for the S7 triggered my refund and recall process? 

This is really confusing.

This is what is called a "batch process". Since thousands of customers were affected, this is done automatically.

Basically they program the auto system to identify certain IMEI's to target. On those lines of service the system will automatically reset the Upgrade Eligibility date to August 1st, auto ship a recovery box, auto send a SMS alert, and in 1-2 bill cycles a auto credit will be applied.
